I treated myself to a day out in London and went to the Matisse - The Cut Outs exhibition.
It was well worth the effort.
I went nice and early in the day and was guaranteed I'd get in as I'd bought my ticket in advance. This really is a must for the big exhibitions to avoid disappointment.
As I'd got an early timed ticket, 10.30, it meant there weren't lots of people from earlier in the day. This meant the rooms, with his huge pictures, were relatively empty and I was able to sit and enjoy looking at the pictures.
I hadn't been to Tate Modern before so this was a double treat. After this great exhibition I looked a a couple of the galleries. It was amazing. I saw the Rothko Seagram Murals, a Dali, Picasso, Miro, Kadinsky and so much more. A really great space.
The Matisse exhibition proved a real inspiration to me for The Travelling Stitch Book. So here are my pages.
