PARTY !!!!!!

Well last Sunday was my 40th birthday. As you can see I had a lovely BIG cake. I also had a great party that went on from 12 noon until 9 that evening. I had a great time - loads of friends and neighbours came. I also had some fantastic pressies - everyone was very very generous. You may be surprised to hear they included some related to quilting. LOL. I was so happy that so many people were able to turn up and I hope they had as good a time as I did. A huge THANK YOU - you all made my birthday very special.

Purchases from the FoQ...

Well it doesn't look much in the bag And it doesn't look too much in a pile. But... It was quite a bit. So here's the list 3 x Pink Pig sketchbooks 1 x perfect bound Seawhite of Brighton sketchbook 3 x fat quarters of fabric 3 x Markel stick YLI Soft touch in cream Bottom Line Superior thread 3 x Angelina Fibre 5 x hand dyed cotton perle thread 2 x packets of hand dyed cotton perle 2 x variety thread packs Free Brother bag (folds up very small) packet of cards of the Thin Blue Line exhibition Free Brother tape measure (free with Patchwork & Quilting magazine) Free Aurofil thread (free with Patchwork & Quilting magazine) So quite a lot for a small pile. The quilts were amazing and I promise I will post some of them over the next few weeks - it's going to take me some time to work through the photos. What did you all buy at the show?

It's that time of year again...

Yep - it's the Festival of Quilts at the NEC. I'm off there today and hope to meet up with a few people. I'll be taking lots of photos but can't promise to post them until early next week as I've got a busy weekend coming up. But I hope to be able to tell you a few things over the next few days. For all of you going - have a great time.

The last sewing camp photos... honest

Yes - that's it - all my photos from sewing camp - hope you like them.

August already

I still don't seem to have got back into the posting on the blog routine again. But, better late than never, here is another batch of photos from sewing camp. This first photo hopefully gives you an idea of about how much stuff I take along - that's it almost full with the back seats down. Here is my quilt as you go laid out on the table before I put it all together. I'll be posting a photo very soon of it completed. Each block is machine quilted - so it was a challenge - but I must say I have improved lots. And here is my 'Summer Fever' quilt. I really enjoyed putting this one together - there was virtually no waste. The colours haven't come out very well - the green is an Oakshott lime green - certainly gives it a bit of zing. And below are loads more photos of what people made during sewing camp. I think I've enough left for one more long photo post - so I'll try to get those posted at the weekend. I hope you'll notice there are quite a few jelly
